In celebration of Puma’s longstanding corroboration of African football, the global ‘sports lifestyle’ brand commissioned prominent New York artist Kehinde Wiley to create artworks in honour of the beautiful game and its African superstars. For our fashion section in Winter 2010, one small seed constructed a shoot inspired by his art, featuring the Puma Africa Collection that draws on the decorative elements of Kehinde’s flamboyant portraits. Issue 19 of one small seed features this creative collaboration, centring a fashion spread entitled ‘Afro-Gazing’ on the vibrant collection photographed by Igor Polzenhagen.
Watch the video to witness just what goes on, the other side of the lens, in a one small seed fashion feature.
