You are cordially invited to a private view of Adi Bensmaia’s first solo exhibition on Namibia’s black rhinos: BUSH PATROL – PART I

The exhibition will take place on Wednesday 20th of April 2011 from 6pm, at Photo Hire, 47 De Villiers Street, Zonnebloem, Cape Town.

Adi Bensmaia - Bush Patrol 1

In 2010, Cape Town-based photographer Adi Bensmaia collaborated with Save the Rhino Trust (SRT) spending two weeks in wild Damaraland, North West Namibia. Tracking on foot the two-tonne creatures roaming free, this extraordinary footage captures some of the few untamed and endangered rhinos left out of the confinements of game reserves. The unforgiving poaching of rhinoceros for exporting purposes – currently threatening the species’ existence – makes this exhibition paramount as to raise awareness of the issue. A selection of these hand-printed black and white photographs Adi produced with his Pentax 6×7 will be auctioned on the night. Half of the profits will be donated to SRT.
