Brought to you by H2O, Anything Goes and Showtime Management with Lovoka as the headline sponsor, the AVICII SA tour has been building hype nationwide over the last two months, and now the time to witness the 22-year-old DJ – ranked 6th in the international Top 100 DJs in 2011 – live is fast approaching!

Avicii, known professionally as Avicii, Tim Berg, Tom Hangs, and Ashwin, is the Swedish electronic dance music phenomena, whose debut single reached the top 20 in several countries including Belgium, France, the Netherlands, the UK and his native Sweden. ‘Levels’, currently on heavy rotation on national radio, reached the top ten in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK, and topped charts in Hungary, Norway and Sweden.

If the first few years of unadulterated musical talent and unrivalled showmanship are anything to go by, the rapidly growing hoards of Avicii enthusiasts are going to be in for one hell of a ride. He was inspired by the likes of Daft Punk, Steve Angello, Eric Prydz and Axwell, but the way things are going he might well just overtake them – the potential he has is second to none and unprecedented.

The SA performances will take place on Friday 30 March at The Wavehouse, Durban (Doors open 3PM, Avicii Set: 10PM), Saturday 31 March at H20, JHB (Doors open 11AM, Avicii Sunset DJ Set: 5PM) and Saturday 31 March at Thunder City, Cape Town (Doors open 5PM, Avicii DJ Set: Midnight).
