Saint Hoax is a pseudonymous Middle Eastern artist making waves in the art world right now. After attending a drag show for the first time, Saint Hoax claims to have realised that the faux queens on stage actually have a lot in common with world leaders, including a flamboyant name, a fierce persona and defining outfits. Infatuated by the element of pop, Saint Hoax works with both tangible and digital mediums to recreate a world based on visual lies. His most recent work, ‘War Drags You Out‘, is a collection of images including the fabulous Georgia Buchette (George Bush), Kimmy Jungle (Kim Jong-il), Hitleria Hysteria (Adolf Hitler) and Madame O’ Sane (Saddam Hussein). Apparently behind every ‘great man’, there’s a queen. Saint Hoax’s work links back to one of our recent one small seed articles that discusses the value that LGBT culture brings to our lives.
