The Art of Doing is an online platform that captures people doing what they love through tracking the movements of artists, craftsmen and creative doers to frame portraits. Their slogan tells you to ‘be inspired’ and make things happen, and their latest upload of Meka – a Canadian illustrator – illustrates the artistic multi-faceted work of producing a simple, brilliant t-shirt. From his hands to his stationary bag to his paper coffee cup, everything around Meka is scribbled with art. His home houses an array of toy figurines and his love for arcade games outlines a boyish Meka inking the humour and attitude of his graffiti-style work. His pencil strokes lines and characters on paper and his fingers colour his doodles on his computer tablet. Fabric paint, spray paint, plastic sheets, UV lights… These are the tools of Meka’s arsenal and this is his art of doing.
